Are all the items on the website works of Japanese artists? |

Yes. All the items on the website as well those at our Omotesando store are hand-made/hand-painted by Japanese artists. Everything is of high quality, selected by the shop owner himself, who has a talent for discovering quality work. |

Are all items original artwork? |

Yes. We have direct consignment contracts with famous Japanese artists of various fields and select the best of their high quality works. Some of the items, especially those in the "Kutani" category, are produced in multiple quantities. Therefore there may be differences in detail compared with the photos on the website. But this actually proves that we provide authentically handmade/hand-painted products. |

There was a "sold out" notice on the item of my choice. Is there any way I can still order it? |

This depends on the category. As stated above, the items in the "Kutani" category is created in multiple quantities, so it is possible for us to offer you a like kind, provided that our shop and the supplier are in stock. In the case of the other categories, the exact duplicate may not be available because the artist cannot reproduce exactly the same work. At the same time, although we do accept orders it may take two to three months before the artist can finish the work. We regret that we cannot respond to individual requests towards the details of the works, for example changes in the base background for the screens or changes in the design itself. Additional orders are strictly based on the items offered on the website. For more questions, please send inquiry mails to our e-mail address. Also, needless to say, antiques are one-of-a-kind, so we cannot offer you duplicates. |

I want to ask about the antiques on the website. How can I contact the shop owner? |

As for questions concerning antique goods on the website, please send us an e-mail. We regret that the shop owner may not be able to respond for a few days due to his busy schedule, but he will answer you. |

How often are the website items renewed? |

We intend to renew our merchandise every two weeks. Items that are sold out will be replenished first, if we have them in stock. Also, we are planning to provide a special category (for example feature categories on particular artists or individual art fields such as calligraphy scrolls) every month, so please stay tuned. |

How can I inquire about antiques other than those on the website? |

We are very sorry, but we have been fixed on selling quality merchandise directly to our clientele. The shop owner wishes to maintain this course, in particular for our antiques, so if you would like to know what other antiques we sell, we must ask you to come visit our store in Tokyo, if you have the chance. |

How is shipping possible to addresses overseas or within Japan? |

Shipping is not a problem at all. We have sixty years of experience and trust in shipping our goods outside of Japan. For those customers living in Japan but cannot come to our store, we provide shipping within the country as well. |

Are all of the items sent in packages? |

Yes. We use a packaging method using appropriate materials that have earned us longstanding credibility. In the case of shipping a screen, for example, we use packaging material of roughly the same weight as the screen itself and package it in a specific manner, ensuring safety and stability. You may think it is in excess, but our merchandise is delicate artworks. We are obliged to send them to our customers with absolutely no damage during shipping. We appreciate your understanding. |

Am I required to pay for customs, etc.? |

You would have to follow the laws and regulations of the country you reside. From our own experience, it is very rare that a customer would have to pay customs for original handmade Japanese artworks. |

Do I have to pay an additional fee for shipment to my country? |

No, all shipping charges are included in the listed price. |

Which shipping company do you use? |

We use Japan Postal Service's Express Mailing Service (EMS). Please refer to the Shipping Information elsewhere on the website. |

How long will the shipping take? |

In the case the item is not in stock at our store, we will obtain it from our supplier within 48 hours and then begin the shipping procedures. If our supplier happens to be also out of stock, we will e-mail you directly to discuss payment cancellation or the date of delivery. |
